Uganda
Nicknamed the “Pearl of Africa,” Uganda is our home base and the heart of our motorcycle safari routes — gorillas, chimps, the Nile and open savanna all within a day’s ride of each other.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Home to nearly half the world’s mountain gorillas. Access: fly into Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip (1hr from Entebbe), or an 8–9 hour scenic drive/ride from Kampala.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Tree-climbing lions and a Kazinga Channel boat cruise packed with hippos and elephants. Access: 6–7 hour drive from Kampala, or fly to Mweya airstrip.
Murchison Falls National Park
The Nile explodes through a 7-metre gorge — Uganda’s most dramatic waterfall, paired with big-game drives. Access: 4–5 hour drive from Kampala or fly to Pakuba airstrip.
Kibale Forest National Park
The primate capital of Africa — chimpanzee tracking through lush rainforest. Access: 4–5 hour drive from Kampala or fly to Kasese airstrip.
Lake Mburo National Park
Uganda’s most accessible savanna park — zebra, eland and easy motorcycle trails. Access: 3–3.5 hour ride from Kampala on tarmac road.
Rwenzori Mountains
The “Mountains of the Moon” — snow-capped equatorial peaks for serious trekkers. Access: 6–7 hour drive from Kampala to Kasese.
02 — LAND OF A THOUSAND HILLS
Rwanda
Immaculately clean and endlessly green, Rwanda pairs gorilla trekking with a modern, easy-to-navigate capital — a favourite add-on to our Uganda circuits.
Volcanoes National Park
Mountain gorilla and golden monkey trekking beneath five volcanic peaks. Access: 2–3 hour drive from Kigali International Airport.
Nyungwe Forest National Park
Africa’s highest canopy walkway and chimpanzee tracking in ancient rainforest. Access: 5–6 hour drive from Kigali or a short domestic flight to Kamembe.
Akagera National Park
Rwanda’s Big Five savanna park, with boat cruises on Lake Ihema. Access: 2.5 hour drive from Kigali.
Kigali City
A spotless, hilltop capital — genocide memorials, art cooperatives and the best coffee in the region. Access: fly directly into Kigali International Airport (KGL).
03 — SAFARI HEARTLAND
Kenya
The original safari country — Kenya delivers the Great Migration, iconic savanna landscapes and a laid-back Indian Ocean coastline.
Maasai Mara National Reserve
World-famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration and year-round Big Five sightings. Access: 45-minute flight from Nairobi Wilson Airport, or a 5–6 hour drive.
Amboseli National Park
Massive elephant herds framed by snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Access: 4 hour drive from Nairobi or a 30-minute flight.
Lake Nakuru National Park
A rhino sanctuary and flamingo-lined soda lake. Access: 2.5–3 hour drive from Nairobi.
Diani Beach
Powder-white sand and warm turquoise water on the south coast. Access: 1 hour flight from Nairobi to Mombasa, then a 30-minute transfer.
04 — ENDLESS PLAINS
Tanzania
From the endless plains of the Serengeti to the beaches of Zanzibar, Tanzania combines the continent’s most famous wildlife spectacle with its most relaxing coastline.
Serengeti National Park
Endless golden plains and the beating heart of the Great Migration. Access: fly to Seronera airstrip, or drive via Arusha (7–8 hours).
Ngorongoro Crater
The world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera, packed with wildlife in a single bowl. Access: 3–4 hour drive from Arusha.
Mount Kilimanjaro
Africa’s highest peak and a bucket-list trek. Access: fly directly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
Zanzibar Archipelago
Spice plantations, historic Stone Town and postcard beaches. Access: fly into Zanzibar (ZNZ) or take the ferry from Dar es Salaam.

Burundi & South Sudan
For travellers chasing something few tourists ever see, Burundi’s Lake Tanganyika and South Sudan’s vast wetlands offer raw, unscripted East Africa.
Lake Tanganyika, Bujumbura
One of the world’s deepest lakes, with sandy beaches and water sports right by the capital. Access: fly directly into Bujumbura International Airport.
Rusizi & Kibira National Parks
Hippos, crocodiles and rare highland rainforest primates close to Bujumbura. Access: 30–90 minute drive from Bujumbura.
The Sudd Wetlands & Boma National Park
Home to the second-largest land mammal migration on Earth. Access: fly into Juba International Airport, South Sudan (specialist trips, advance planning required).
